The Right To Ride(RTR) Network is the CTC’s ground-level force of active cycle campaigners. The Network is nationwide and each volunteer is accredited and agrees to represent CTC policy (as set out in the Policy Handbook) to local authorities or other bodies. Many RTR Reps sit on local Cycle Forums or are members of a variety of committees with influence over matters of concern to cyclists.
RTR Reps fight for offroad access rights and improvements. We monitor the state of the bridleways, give feedback on Traffic Regulation Orders, make suggestions for upgrading of routes and are currently adding missing rights of way to the Definitive Map before it is frozen by the CROW act.
Representatives receive support from CTC Headquarters in the form of mailings, briefings, CTC literature and training. They also have direct access to advice from the CTC Campaigns Department.
